Special Transport Arrangements

Removals outside normal working hours:

No additional charge

Reception of coffin into a local church or residence to remain there for a period before the funeral service:

Cost of hearse, conductor and bearers: Before 4.30pm - £430.00 Evenings, weekends and bank holidays - £570.00
Coffin taken home by ambulance: Normal hours - £270.00 Evenings, weekends and bank holidays - £405.00

Split funerals (where there is a break between the funeral service and the committal, a fee is charged to cover additional man hours and use of funeral vehicles over two different time periods):

On the same day - £420.00 On separate days - £570.00

Funerals outside the normal geographical areas we cover, or with a special route :

We may have to charge an additional hourly rate to cover the additional time for our funeral staff outside the hours allowed in our funeral packages. Our funeral arranger will calculate the charge once we fully understand your requirements for the funeral. Hourly rate per person during normal working hours - £68.00 Outside normal working hours - £102.00

Transporting deceased to another Funeral Directors outside the normal geographical areas we cover:

Occasionally we are asked to transport the deceased to and from another Funeral Director outside of our locality in order for the funeral to take place. Mileage charge for transportation - £2.75 per mile.

Memorials

The cost normally includes removing and replacing. Standard Lawn memorials include refixing at a subsequent date, to current NAMM recommended code of working practice.

If the Burial Authority insist a kerbset memorial is removed from the cemetery and stored off site until the memorial can be re-instated on the grave, please note there is a risk of damage if the memorial has to be dismantled. We will not be held liable for any damage caused should the memorial be dismantled due to either its method of construction or the Burial Authority's instruction. Additional cost for memorials larger than a Standard Kerbset will be priced individually.
